ABOUT ME

Not to sound corny, but at heart I'm a storyteller. And there are so many ways to tell stories.

On stage, on camera, sitting down at your laptop screen, or pulling up to your piano and writing them yourself.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the first generation kid of a Latin immigrant,

I got the bug early on. It began with an uncredited cameo on Sesame Street and continued on

to the Los Angeles High School for the Arts. There, in LA's version of LaGuardia, I studied light opera, acting, voice, piano, dance - a  little bit of everything. And I loved it. When the time came for college, I moved to New York where

I could do just that - and tell my stories. Four years later, I graduated Pace University with a BFA in Music Theater.

While in my undergrad, I studied with Ryan Scott Oliver and took his intense course in Writing for Musical Theater. The course not only instilled the fundamentals of storytelling but culminated in premiering

several pieces of my own material at 54 Below.

Post-grad, I would find a writing partner in my favorite collaborator, actor-writer Chris Rivera.

We would begin working together on multiple musical projects - seeking no more than to tell stories we

wanted to see more of and entertain our audiences. We premiered selections from our musicals-in-development

at an April Fool's Concert at the Green Room 42 to enthusiastic reception.

Being a card-carrying Queer, Gender-Fluid Latine artist, there are few things more important to me than representation and reinvention. As long as I can, I want to tell stories that shed light and uplift. Stories that are not just about on my own unique experience but that are fantastical - all the more so because they are informed

by those same experiences I have lived.
